Currently we will not be able to accept any large donations until we complete the expensive and tedious job of moving our sheds over a few feet as required by the county zoning office. We had requested a variance from the Board of Appeals but it was denied yesterday. The sad part is, that the money it is costing us in lawyer fees, and moving the buildings is now going to impact the amount of money we will be able to give our local schools, food banks, senior center, meals on wheels, and others. Please be patient with us as we work to come into compliance. We are still accepting donations of clothes, and small household items which are not stored in the outbuilding. We hope to have everything done by the 2nd week of September and will gladly start accepting your larger donation again. We are committed to supporting Hampstead and the surrounding community and will do everything we can to lessen the impact. Your generous donations to the Thrift Store are what make these financial gifts and scholarships possible and we can’t thank you enough.
